RITE OF SPRING
by Brian Ziff
Bidding Starts Monday 3/22 @ 3PM PST
Auction Concludes Wednesday 3/24 @ 9PM PST
Brian Ziff presents the six part NFT series, “Rite of Spring.”
In this haunting collection, we watch as the new season emerges from the death of the last; nectar flows, hummingbirds suckle and flowers bloom as the cold, hapless body of Winter succumbs to the verdant inevitability of Spring.
Each tableau is first photographed in individual pieces, composited together, set to its own six second passage of a micro-symphony, and then animated frame by frame, creating a moment forever in limbo as nature’s yearning tendrils thread the darkness under the trance of a soft, crisp breeze. They exist in the liminal space between seasons, between death and rebirth, between the organic and the synthetic; perpetually frozen within the confines of the loop.
